Commitment to Environmental Stewardship
TrafFix Devices understands the importance of environmental stewardship and is dedicated to minimizing its impact on the planet. Our sustainability efforts are not just limited to words but are reflected in concrete actions and initiatives. This is reflected in our participation in Tire Incentive Program (TIP) administered by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), a branch of the California Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities to divert waste tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote products made from California Recycled Tires.
Environmentally Conscious Products
One of the cornerstones of TrafFix Devices’ sustainability efforts is our line of environmentally conscious products, such as the Enviro-Cone. The Enviro-Cone is a game-changer in traffic cones, made from 80% post-consumer recycled material by weight and is recyclable. By utilizing recycled materials, TrafFix Devices reduces waste and lessens the demand for new resources. In addition all rubber bases manufactured by TrafFix Devices are made from 100% recycled tires, keeping more than 14 million lbs of rubber out of landfills.
Energy-Efficient Operations
TrafFix Devices doesn’t stop at product design but extends its sustainability efforts to its operations. We prioritize energy efficiency in manufacturing processes, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. We have installed 39,652 sq. ft. of solar panels at our facilities. The renewable energy produced is enough to power 96 homes each year.
